Careers

Open roles at the studio.

Sitegrown is a deliberately small, senior-led studio. We don't hire often — but right now two roles are open, both remote and project-based.

No account teams, no layers. You work directly with the people who design and build the sites — and the work you do ships.

01

QA Tester

Remote · Project-based · Part-time

You are the last line of defence before a site goes live. You check every page the way a real visitor would — on phones, on slow connections, with one thumb and no patience.

  • Test websites across real devices, browsers and screen sizes
  • Check forms, links, navigation and edge cases until they break
  • Verify accessibility basics: keyboard navigation, contrast, alt text
  • Run performance checks and flag anything over budget
  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports developers can act on

What we expect: Experience testing production websites, an eye for detail, and the stubbornness to reopen a bug that was 'probably fixed'.

02

Web Designer

Remote · Project-based · Part-time

You design websites that serve the business first. Restraint over decoration, clarity over cleverness — layouts where every decision traces back to how the client wins work.

  • Design pages and components in Figma, from wireframe to final spec
  • Art-direct the mobile experience first, not as an afterthought
  • Work within and extend existing design systems and tokens
  • Prepare clean handoff specs developers can build from directly
  • Present and explain design decisions in plain words

What we expect: A portfolio of shipped websites (not just concepts), strong typography, and comfort working directly with developers.

How we hire

Three steps. No theatre.

01

A short intro call

Thirty minutes about you, your work and how you like to work. No panels, no homework before we have even spoken.

02

A paid trial task

A small, real task from an actual project — scoped to a few hours and always paid. We respect your time from the start.

03

Start on a real project

If the trial goes well, you join the next project. Direct communication, clear scope, no account managers in between.

Not your role?

Motion, copy, photography, 3D?

Around the core studio sits a small network of independent specialists, brought in deliberately, per project, when a brief genuinely needs them.

If that sounds like you, introduce yourself — we keep a short list and we actually use it.
